Kate’s involvement with the Emmerson School of dance started at the tender age of three when she began her ballet training with Gay Sutton. At 13 Kate was invited to be a cecchetti scholar and at the age of 16 she won a place at “The West Street Ballet School” in Covent Garden, where she studied under some well respected teachers of the Cecchetti method. After this she went to the London Studio Centre where she completed her Diploma. Kate has now been teaching at the school for 10 years since gaining her Associate and Associate Diploma Qualification. She loves the challenge of teaching and helping students realise their full potential and feels very privileged to be carrying on the fantastic work started by Rita Emmerson.
